How good do think this Heiskanen kid is going to be? Who are his comparables?
Top pairing all around D-man, complete game already, the only thing he really needs is to add bulk to his frame, comparable is someone like Marc-Edouard Vlasic.

Higher ceiling than Vlasic? What's the likelihood he becomes the franchise defensemen we are looking for?

Potential ceiling is very high, never know how high, but when you got a guy who is already complete, at that age, the ceiling could be Duncan Keith, but the floor is probably Vlasic.

Dallas would be crazy to trade him for Eberle, shit, if that's all they're asking, I'd put JVR in play for that pick.

If the Leafs could get Heiskanen, and Valimaki, oh fuck, we'd be rockin' then.

He's an LHD, but he likes to play on the right side, so he's interchangeable;

The kid is poised, doesn't get rattled, great puck mover, playmaker, posession driver, not flashy, not trying to be Erik Karlsson, but rock steady, all purpose, and complete.

Also bear in mind, he's 6'0" 175 lbs, but he's only 17, July 18th birthday, so he's got another inch or even two to grow, and he'll put on at least 15-20 lbs over the next few years, and he's playing against men already, he's playing in the Finnish Liga as a pro, at 17, so like I said; complete right out of the box, just has to add muscle.

This is not a kid who is going to take four years to make the league, he's like a Werenski, goes back to Finland next year, but is probably in the NHL in 2018, he's already playing pro, he's gonna skip the AHL and go straight to the show.

Well.....I guess the Pens have more left in the tank than I thought. What kills me is that the Sens were still running the trap down 7 to zip. lol
There is a time for good men to do bad things.

For fuck sake, 1984 is NOT an instruction manual!

Shame Nashville's powerplay is so terrible they couldn't get a shot. Missing Johansen big time, he's the PP QB. Major squanderage, right thur.

Anaheim traded Andersen to the Leafs for the 30th overall pick, and replaced him with Jonathan Bernier; that could be about to come back to haunt them.

What happened to Gibson, is he hurt?
