Leafs parade to the penalty box shooting themselves in the foot, and they still come storming back from down two twice to salvage a point out of it, against the Hawks, already a win even if they don't get the second point here, they're so cocky, but how do you convince them not to be, when they keep scoring their way out of trouble?

edit; whoa, 9-1 now, and there's still 15 minutes left in this game, plenty of time for CHI to score 10.

edit; 10-1 now, happy birthday, Mario.
True dominance must be re-established. The children have had their fun.
Meh, the Pens hung their Cup banner just the night before, pretty sure that was a "we just partied all night" game for them, although, the Hawks do look good, and no doubt they've got a bee up their bonnet now, after getting swept so embarassingly in the spring. I'm expecting a rebound season from the Hawks, they gotta make a statement after that debacle.
Yeah the Pens have not looked sharp. I'm sure they'll be fine but I have a feeling they might be running on E this season.
There is a time for good men to do bad things.

For fuck sake, 1984 is NOT an instruction manual!

Trap game tonight, there's no reason the Leafs shouldn't be able to knock the Devils off with ease here, but the Devils are kind of like the Leafs were last year, they're playing the kids, no pressure, they're all loosey goosey, if the Leafs phone in a period tonight, or are looking ahead to the Habs, they're likely to get burned, which, would be annoying, not that they can win them all, but this should be two points in the bank, they're still a work in progress, but that work consists of getting up for the weaker teams just as much as you get up for the strong, so this will be a test case.

Trap game, could see it coming from a mile away, mind you, the Devils look good, I don't think it's just all about the Leafs phoning it in, this is a whole new Devils right here, they are fast, fast, fast, faster than the Leafs actually.

Nico Hischier, he's turning out to be much better than I was expecting.

Cory Schneider rebound season, if they can keep this pace up, and Schneider steals a few games, they'll make the playoffs.

Too little too late, but Matthews is the only one who shows up every shift every night, put the C on the kid already, Babs, stop being silly.

I wouldn't put the C on him to try to make a self fulfilling prophecy, but when obvious Captain is obvious, might as well just get on with it.

The Leafs needed to get burned for their sloppy lackadaisical play, they've played like this for four games straight, they had structure in the preseason, then all of a sudden the season starts, and everybody throws the system out the window and tries to fancy hotdog everything all over the place.

But still tho, 50 shots? Schneider stole that game.
