Blade runner wasn't Jewed was it? I have to rewatch it, it's been so long. DADOES was one of my favorite books of all time though.

New Bladerunner and new Alien in 2017 will make it an amazing year for scifi.

Bladerunner is probably going to be incredible. Directed by Villeneuve (same as Arrival) and with a score from Johann Johannsson. :violence-glob:

Man no love for Star Wars.
There is a time for good men to do bad things.

For fuck sake, 1984 is NOT an instruction manual!

What does that mean exactly? Funded by a studio owned by a Jew? Or the plot was somehow influenced by Zionism...?

apeman wrote:I almost never go to the movies even though there is a theater couple blocks from my house, but I saw LA LA Land. My wife had been begging to go for weeks, I refused and refused, she begged more, I googled the promo materials and said NO WAY, she ultimately got a 2-for-1, bought the tix, and promised me it would be good, so I went (and snuck in some good beers to help alleviate pain if it blew)

the opening scene involves people getting out of their cars on a jam packed highway in CA to sing and dance. The gayest thing I have ever seen, first beer popped immediately. All I could think is "I have made a terrible mistake," and even considered, how made would apewife be if I just walked home?

By the end of the movie I thought it was really good, there is a story telling device at the end which was excellent and meaningful. I recommend the flick, but be warned you will consider holding your breathe until to pass out when you see the opening scenes.
Good to know. A lot of musicals are like that with those random breaks of dance and song that don't really make rational "sense". Its art its about feeling and mood.

I don't know what you mean. My only concern is the obvious potential for this thing to get infected by social justice AIDS. So far, it looks true to the first film.

Come on now. Episode VII was way better than I, II, and III. It will be interesting to see what they do with Luke. Now if they kill him off I'll be fucking done with them.

They killed my favorite character already. Embrace the suck.

Luke was never very interesting, anyway.
