The trailers for 1917 look epic; I’ll be there.
“Beautiful Day in Your Neighborhood” (Mr. Rogers) made my dick shrink up. Jesus Christ, what’s wrong with that dude?!

I enjoyed The King on Netflix.
Henry V at Agincourt, nice battle scenes.

It wasn't bad but I thought the casting of Hal was. I found it kinda funny this "mighty warrior" was so skinny he looked like he could barely lift a sword. Current Hollywood culture is to be gym toned if not ripped, so much so that sometimes it's incongruous with the roles. You have to go back to the 70's to see such skinny men in action roles, like Michael York in The 3 Musketeers.
Check out Ubernerd Kumail NadjIani! He trained up for his Marvel role.

I guess I'll hate watch it then too. It's awful the big Sf franchises like SW & ST can't or won't hire decent writers. The Mandalorian is some of the worst trope ridden, predictable and boring writing I've seen on TV.

I absolutely said the same... until episodes 6&7. Now I can’t wait to see more. Something changed - either writing or directing, or something.brewster wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2019 12:37 pmI guess I'll hate watch it then too. EDIT - yeah, they’ve used 5 directors already, and 5 writers. Hopefully they stick with this one.

I watched Rogue One last week. First film I've seen of the new batch.
Good effects etc but pretty dull.
Being an adult, I'm not really the target audience though.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

That's how it is in real life tho, it's not about size, it's all about aggression and the resolve to do mass murder.
I knew lots of scrawny soldiers who were stone cold killers.
It's all in the mind, the predatory instinct.
