Just finished watching Bogart in Across the Pacific.
Bogart stops the Dirty Gooks from blowing up the Panama Canal............. fun trivia. The film was shot in late 1941. The original script had Bogart stopping an attack on Pearl Harbor. History over took them and they switched it to the Panama Canal.

Halfway through Stranger things. They have just teased this new monster and not really had him do shit. That idiot with the hat kept that tadpole. It looks just like a smaller version of the monster that fucked with them last season. What is that moron thinking? My girlfriend really likes that show and the 80's/retro stuff, so I have been watching it with her one episode per week. I liked season 1, but this one is dragging a bit imo.

I have only seen 3 episodes so far. But there are only 8 in the season, so they need to speed things along a bit.


As far as Justified, I have been binge watching that with gf over the holiday. My favorite season is 3 with Quarles and Duffy. I wasn't a big fan of seasons 4 or 5. They just didn't have any good villains imo, not like in the second and third season. I could just watch a show about Duffy and Quarles going around stirring up trouble. I liked them so much I was hoping they'd win, and I actually started feeling bad for them when the Marshall kept barging in and harassing them.

Have you watch Maltese Falcon or Caine Mutiny yet? Those are classic Bogart. That show better call saul paid a very strong homage to Bogart in Caine during season 3.

The story is ridiculous, but I really love the setting and flavor of it. Just try to ignore the plot.

EDIT: I will say the first season or two weren’t bad. By 3rd season, it’s completely off the rails.

It is softcore porn with a flimsy and absurd plot, but the show is highly entertaining at times because of how absurd it is.
