His work on the show or the movie?
The movie had its moments, some cool gunfights etc but I don't remember the plot much. Tbh, that's kind of how I remembered the show too...

I liked the tv show, but he mostly just produced that
None the less, in terms of the movies, how is Archangel de Jesus Montoya lesser than Waingro?
What is your problem with Crocket & Tubbs, muthahfuckah?

I am a big Don Johnson fan. He was amazing in Eastbound and Down and killed it as the Warden in Brawl in Cell Block 99. Dude sounds pretty awesome on a personal level too.
I just never got that into Miami Vice. Was a bit before my time, so probably a generational thing would be my guess.

Don was great, Colin took it to another level.

The only thing better in the tv show, was Eddie Olmos as Castillo, but that's okay, cause I loved the tv show too.

One of the weirdest and best tv cameos of all time was G Gordon Libby in Miami Vice. Dude pretty much played himself. God, I love Liddy. The guy was even on Fear Factor and he wasn't phased by anything they threw his way. A real American hero.

What I really love about it, the movie that is, is that it really was Crockett & Tubbs, the characters didn't change, Mann just took them from tv level, to the cinematic versions of them. Same for the rest of the team, same for the villains.

And he didn't change it up, in terms of the core principle of Miami Vice, which was actually rock music.

I would have set the film in the 1980s, though.
