If the Leafs just get to overtime and get a point, I'll consider that a victory, even one point in a home opener is a bonus, because I just write the home opener off, I wrote this game off when they released the schedule, I just assume that they're going to play like this, it's like clockwork, it's the same thing Winnipeg did on Wednesday, it was just their home opener, so of course they screwed the pooch.StCapps wrote:Hat tip on calling that before it happened. Smitty knows his home openers, especially as far as the Leafs are concerned.

Leafs score 8 to win this game? What did I tell ya?
Two points from the home opener? Super bonus.
Play like shit and still score 8 goals FTW?
15 goals in their first two, and they haven't even played a good game yet?

Hup, Patrik fuckin' Laine has his first goal, dirty dancing...
Got the split screen going, McJesus and Patrik Swaine at the same time, it's a golden age for Canadian hockey teams, Matthews, McDavid, Laine, can't go wrong on the CBC, er I mean Rogers.

Timothy Liljegren; playing for the Marlboros, fuck Sweden, looks pretty steady actually, adjusting to the small ice nicely, I'm seeing him making the big club next year, if they even have room for him that is, as Borgman and Rosen are keepers, and Dermott could make the team too.

Leafs finally get burned with their slow start half assed phone it in dogpark dee-fence, just have to try to make it out of this period without being down 5-0, then see if they can regroup, although, I think they're gonna keep being cocky about shit, until Babs makes somebody pay the price, got all this depth, feel free to bench people Babs, they're not going to listen, until their icetime gets taken away.

The Leafs have turned into the new Winnipeg Jets so far this year, just one stoopid penalty after the next, the discipline has gone completely out the window, Babs may be patient, but I've seen enough of this shit already, I know the refs are being stoopid, but these cocky Leafs are throwing them low hanging fruit.
What is so hard about keep your fuckin' sticks on the ice? I don't get it, and I don't get why peoples asses don't get stapled to the bench for it neither.

Avs shutout the Bruins 4-0, Varlamov hot to start the season. Yakupov even scored a couple, would be great if he turned into a found wallet.

The Avs are do for a bounceback, not from worst to first, but they surely have to make amends for last year, and they know it, they can't do that to their fans two years in a row. You don't want them to do too well, because they'll end up being tweeners and you'll miss the playoffs and lose the high pick, but they should at least compete, after they started phoning the whole rest of the season in from early on last year.

Whoa, Borgman just levelled Debrincat, dumb of course, because he didn't have the puck, the Leaf parade to the penalty box will continue until Babs makes people pay, none the less, Borgman is a found wallet, once he learns to pick his spots, he's gonna be a horse.
