I get the gist. Sleep when you can and embrace the suck the rest of the time. Kind of an odd juxtaposition. It is good to know where the lines are though. They have been obscured until this WuFlu panic and Trump's ascendancy. Now the cards are on the table, let the game begin.

Re: Food and drink
well back when I was digging trenches in the pissing rain, or breaking rocks in detention barracks, what I am doing now, kicking back with a girl in a fancy house on my deck with all the feexins, was pretty much my dream scenarioHaumana wrote: ↑Mon Apr 12, 2021 12:40 amI get the gist. the lines are pretty clear here, they haven't passed any new laws, these laws have been in place since the 1919 Spanish Flu actually. The government has broad powers in a state of emergency, same as it ever was

like if I was young and single, I'd probably be climbing the walls
but we are actually an old married couple now, 21 years went by just like that
so we're not ones to challenge authority unless it is actually impeding us
in this case, they basically forced us into a luxurious retirement, which is fine by us

Agreed and same. I meet the minimum requirements that the authority mandates, barely. The other side of the mountain range, over in Honolulu, are above and beyond the minimum. Whole families riding around in cars with the windows up fully masked. Too much tv watching, nutters. They dictate the State. Out here in country... we just do what we must to live and let live.Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 12, 2021 12:49 amlike if I was young and single, I'd probably be climbing the walls

it's a global event, it's above the level of even the governmentHaumana wrote: ↑Mon Apr 12, 2021 12:58 amAgreed and same. I meet the minimum requirements that the authority mandates, barely. I don't worry about that which is beyond my control
there is nowhere to go on earth to get away from this
meanwhile I am living like a king up in here
in terms of the nanny police state government, Canada has always been like that, so it's a wash

Italian beef sandwiches tomorrow night. Hot Gardeniera, fresh (stinky) provolone, and steak buns. Heaven on earth, I can already smell it.
Second only to a steak dinner, in my book.

Re: Food and drink
my wife is making chicken wings with fries for supper
but she's not grilling, she's deep frying
I've had four pints of beer already, so I am definitely down for some deep fried wings & fries
America fuck yeah
