Smitty's last post was Feb 25th, should we put his face on a milk carton?

Andreas Johnsson two goal night! On the first powerplay unit with Tavares and Marner. 5-1, baby.

7th round pick. 202nd overall. $787,000 cap hit. All developed internally, from Sweden to the Calder Cup MVP.

Mo Norris and Johnny T all over McJesus, not giving him any room.

Freddie Vezina showed up too.

Leafs looking like a contender tonight.
Another Gävle boy. Went west young. SHL rookie of the year 2014.

I don't get why it is seen as a bad thing to go trans Atlantic early over here. Must be some kind of chauvinism. I mean, either you have what it takes or you don't. Is SHL a better school than AHL?

He had undiagnosed asthma, didn't do well in the combine so he dropped to the bottom of the draft.

It was still a long process tho, the Leafs were very patient, they let him develop in Sweden, and he didn't look that good when he got to the AHL, but the Leafs let him develop there.

Everybody develops at their own pace, I think he needed to get his confidence on the big ice with Frolunda, then he learned the NHL game with the Marlies.

When he was in Sweden I wasn't expecting him to pan out to be much, but last couple years on the Marlies, it was obvious that he was an NHL player.

Johnny T returns to the Island to face the butt hurt mob.

Not sure how it's going to go, maybe the Leafs will get rinsed by an angry hornets nest.

Maybe the hornets nest will overplay its hand and get rinsed by Tavares.

Hard to say.

Well I for one am not buying that the Islanders are good, it's all a mirage, they just have some hot goalies who took them from worst to first in Goals Against Average department.

The Leafs still might lose to them tonight, but come playoff time, the wheels are going to fall off and the house of cards is going to come crashing down.

Indeed, Two Phones is mortgaging their future to try to win now without a real window, so Leafy.

Dumb ass Muzzin takes the bait, pinches to lay a big hit, but the Leafs get beat three on one. 1-1

Garret Sparks way in over his head here. Better for him to get rinsed than Andersen, but the Leafs are getting rinsed mostly because Sparks is basically useless under pressure, not an NHL goalie.

In the end, anticlimactic, the Isles played like it was game seven of the Stanley Cup Finals.

The Leafs played like it was the second night of a back to back regular season game in February.

Leafs bounce back at home, Nic Petan scores a beauty, Jets 43rd overall pick buried in the minors.

Team Dubas reclamation project, he's been a star at every other level.

Could be another Andreas Jonsson type found wallet.

The camera cut to Team Dubas when he scored, they were fist pumping, so clearly they think he has upside.

I'm a Petan fan since he was a Winterhawk, he's just small, like a Tyler Ennis, except younger.

Even so he caught Ristolainen with a low bridge hit in the third, so he's got some bite to his game.
