If it has stopped fermenting (no bubbles rising) before it gets to a specific gravity of around 1.0 or less then you either had bad yeast or an unsterile bucket, hose etc.
Did you sterilize your spoon before stirring every day?

No, it's fermenting, I think. I tasted it last night and there is definitely a wine taste to it. I think the water valve just does not work right.
There are four cups of blueberries in there now and the better yeast added.

In two weeks, my next batch will either be cherries (Viking's Blood mead), or I will hunt down some paw paw fruit to make a truly North Carolina batch.
I should have used all blueberry honey on this one, but did not want to potentially waste all the money on blueberry honey if this first attempt fails.

I can only drink on Saturdays, and in moderation, unless there is some special event with friends. Even then, I tend to drink 1-2 glasses at most and end up driving everybody. I had three porters in my fridge since three weeks ago, but failed to drink them yesterday in my window. So have to wait for next Sat.
Mon-Fri are fitness days now. Eat clean. Train hard. Fix pain.
Sat is rest and cheat day.

Yeah, I usually end up the driver if there's going to be drinking. I just stick to energy drinks and end up looking like the witty one 'cos everyone else is just being a boring drunk.

The whole kit is about $40 USD.

It's like $70 if you add all the options, though, and you still need to buy a fermentation bucket of some kind. I have the siphon and other stuff that came with the wine fermentation kit. Need to reuse the bucket for the next mead batch, though, and the carboy will have this current batch of mead in the second ferment.
Not sure what the fuck I would do with five gallons of Scottish ale, though, if I drink only a few bottles per week.
