My brother and a friend of his built a couple of RC ship models when we were teens. His was the Yamato battleship and his friend's was an LST. These were models that took several weeks to build. The LST immediately took on water and sank in the middle of the pond. The Yamato's rudder became unresponsive and it began circling farther and farther out until radio contact was lost. Eventually it drifted back to shore.

I have started collecting these. When we were kids, Dad would sometimes take us to the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn. Got a few of these at their gift shop, and have had a soft spot for them ever since.

Those are cool, DeO. I have a love of collections but a hatred of hoarding, so it's been an interesting life. I've made some rash decisions, being bipolar and un-medicated for so many years. I had several collections I want back, now that I'm in my 50s.

I love to go to museums where I may not have knowledge of the topic, but do have appreciation. I've been to several unique museums, at least around North America. The Henry Ford Museum was incredibly mesmerizing, for me, even though I have no real appreciation, nor real love, for cars.
