I finally watched Deadwood this summer. Absolutely loved it.

Rome is still the best show of all time though.
No man's life, liberty, or property are safe while the legislature is in session

It's pretty good, but it's not even in my top 20. Deadwood is top 5.

Season 1 yes. Season 2...it was rushed. Originally it was supposed to be a six season series covering the span of Caesar's rise to power through the death of Jesus. It's a damn shame that show was killed off due to production costs.

Yeah Season 2 was so rushed they had to switch actors for Augustus mid season, that shit was hilarious, the two actors didn't even look anything alike.

I just finished Turn: Washington's spies. 4 seasons great show. It is on Netflix.

The time line is confusing Season 1 is the regular show, season 2 is a prequel before the events of season 1. Season 3 and 4 are continuations of season 1. The lead actor that played Spartacus after season 1 got sick with cancer, while he was being treated they went with season 2 to hold out for him. Unfortunately he just couldn't do it and blessed a replacement, during production of season 3 he passed away.
