Have we settled on a date yet where you finally admit to yourself you got boned?
/yawn. Those aren't demos.

Just promise that when the final release comes, and you pony up the cash to buy it at retail like all the other fence sitters, you'll give me your handle, so I can hound you relentlessly. It'll be on Linux at launch.

Procedurally generated (instanced) moons.
Hoping for a planet with a landing zone!

I’m glad you didn’t pump $10,000 into this, like a complete idiot, but it’s a mirage, dude.
You're not allowed anyway. Stay away.

That's all it is. They promise everything to everybody.

Oh, you want cities to explore with social bars and shit? That's in there! You want fucking massively multiplayer networking layer even though we initially said this would be an instanced game with no more than eight players? Fuck yeah, this is an MMORPG now!

Bannerlord was announced in 2012, and still isn't out. Is it a scam too?

No idea. Wouldn't invest in a Turkish gaming company, though. That's almost as stupid as handing money over to Shattered Dreams.

If one of us invested money in the fucking thing, then we could discuss it on the same level, but they apparently didn't ask everybody for donations for a game with endless scope creep that will never be completed, so fuck it.

Well, you're sort of on the right path. It went more like this,

We want to make a modern wing commander. Who's interested?

Money floods in.

Ok, we didn't think there was this much interest. What if we make this game, and another huge multiplayer universe to go with it?

Money floods in.

Ok, we're changing gears. Anyone who wants their money back can have it. We're expanding the project. It's still gonna have the modest single player game we talked about at first, but we're also gonna make the biggest space sim ever made.

Money floods in.

oh, I forgot, then Derek Smart told Speaker that Squadron 42 was a sequel, and he believed him.

Based on what that guy almost did to Freelancer before Microsoft benched him, I'd say giving him 150 million dollars he doesn't even have to pay back was like throwing drugs at a hooker with a twenty year cocaine habit.

You could have given all your money to TC to finish his latest aeroponic time machine project and you'd have basically done the exact same thing.
