Not a spy by profession, simply enticed by MI6 into adventure. Tho an academic, d'Alençon is an adrenaline junky.

Not a soldier, none the less a formidable opponent, rugby player fit, thinks on his feet under pressure.

Loathes to use a gun, but wont hesitate if backed into a corner. Prefers to lay traps and use sabotage.

The President of the Russian Federation is modeled on Czar Nicolas II

The wealthiest Oligarch in Russia, but a devout Russian Orthodox Zealot.

Beautiful wife and seven gorgeous children, tho all the children were carried to term by surrogates.

So the wife could stay young and vibrant, they are obsessed with prolonging their lives and youth.

They undergo treatments which slows their aging process, so they appear immortal to the masses.

They are blessed by the Orthodox Clergy, they are like the Russian royal family, Imperator & First Lady.

They have four sons and three daughters, they are celebrities unto themselves.

They are all devoutly religious, going about caring for the poor, visiting the veterans and so on.

They do however live a life of opulence like the Romanovs.

Also like the Romanov's, they are aggressive militarists looking to expand the Russian empire to the stars.

Instead of a Religious Monk, their Rasputin is the head of the KGB.

The KGB General who manipulates things behind the curtain.

The KGB works with the Mafiya, the KGB allows them to go about their business, they in return provide muscle.

The Russian state operates by Noblesse Oblige, an Oligarchy, which provides for the masses to stave off revolt,

The Russian people are devoutly religious, but like the Soviets, they are futurists

They believe in a Post Scarcity Utopia to the Stars, this one however will be the House of God. Russian Orthodoxy

They draw upon the space science of the Soviets, thus they once again become second only to America is space




The Russian Mafiya is religious as well, they are deeply tied to the Church, Russian Cosa Nostra.

As I said, in order to defeat the PRC in the China Seas War, Japan remilitarizes its society.

Upon defeat of the Chinese, Nihon takes control of the Pacific Rim (PAC- RIM) Hegenomy.

They have the most advanced Androids, they built the Cloud Cities on Venus, they are at Jupiter & Saturn as well.

They work with the Europeans, but they are not directly intervening in the fight between America & Russia.

They still maintain what they call Self Defense Forces, they're not neutral, they are simply Isolationist.

The Empire is a Constitutional Monarchy run by a Junta under permanent mobilization for war,

Propped up by a Corptocracy of six mega corporations called Keiretsu.

The Corporations run the Yakuza as their muscle, the Organized Crime is State Sanctioned.

Then finally, the European Union. Europe has become Fascist. Tho they are not Space Nazis.

The National Socialists are on the fringe, the governments are Mussolini style Corporate Fascists.

Fortress Europe has driven all Non-Europeans out, it's racially pure second only to Nihon.

All the menial labour is done by machines, they don't need laborers anymore.

Although the rich still have human servants, as a status symbol.

The Roman Catholic Church at the Vatican holds sway over the Union, but only in the shadows.

The Church is all about population growth, the Papists are having an European Baby Boom.

The Italian Mafias have formed a cartel which dominates Europe and rivals the Russian Mafiya and the Yakuza.

The military alliance remains NATO. The Americans and Commonwealth have withdrawn.

None the less there is a new NATO treaty, the Warsaw Treaty, the French provide the nuclear deterrent.

NATO HQ is still SHAPE at Brussels, there is an European SACEUR, the President of the EU is the CinC.

The center of European wealth and power, the nexus of Corporate Fascism is Milan.

The European Space Agency (ESA) is the rival of NASA in terms of colonization.

NATO has military forces providing security for ESA, these forces however do not rival the Americans

The Europeans instead rely of Nihon as their primary partner, although not formal allies.

At sea, there are new city states, Oceania, it's like private rich people world, you have to buy your way in.

The Mafia chieftains on Earth have entire city states at their disposal, afloat. Oceania builds its own Space Elevator

This becomes the private space program, to include Habitats in Orbit.
