Gotta love these guys. Stop a douchebag.
People driving on the sidewalk to avoid traffic snarl-ups thinking they are above the law.
If you piss them off enough they put a really difficult to remove sticker on your windscreen.
Antisocial parking too.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

I think you're insane Monte. You should have taken it from him
I pass my tickets on all the time to people when there's extra time on them. Its the neighborly thing to do

I should have taken it from him and ripped it up. That way he wouldn't have been able to offer it to anyone else.

Do you want to destroy used items that people resell as well?

Recycling is good, stealing from fellow taxpayers is not.
Then there's the fact I would be committing an offence liable to a fine over 80 times the cost of the ticket. This carpark is under camera surveillance and right next to a council building which includes the transport department. How do I know I'm not being set up?

It is not stealing in the moral sense of the word.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2019 7:27 amI should have taken it from him and ripped it up. That way he wouldn't have been able to offer it to anyone else.

Of course it is. If everyone did it revenue to cover maintenance would come from other local council projects or an increase in the ticket price or other local government revenue.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2019 7:44 amIt is not stealing in the moral sense of the word.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2019 7:27 amI should have taken it from him and ripped it up. Neighbours don't steal from each other.
There is no moral defence for theft.

Nothing was stolen, not even the time allotted for the parking space since that time was already paid for.

No, it wasn't legally paid for, the ticket is non-transferable.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2019 7:52 amIt is not morally stealing.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2019 7:50 amOf course it is. Tickets were made non-transferable due to loss of revenue. The alternative is to put the ticket price up which would punish law-abiding users of the car park.
Would you encourage people to go about demanding you gave them your ticket if it still had time on it?
Would that be intimidating for little old ladies?
