Re: the 13th Doctor Who
they already kind of did make a time traveling female. It's a bit complicated but her name was River Song and they kind of already killed her off.Speaker to Animals wrote:Montegriffo wrote:Well you know, 50% of children are girls, why shouldn't a shape shifting alien be a girl once every 13 times?Speaker to Animals wrote:Yep. SJWs ruin everything they infect.
Why not make a different time traveling character who is female?

I guess women can't really cut it in the time travel business unless it's a man who transitions into a woman.

The main problem with this kind of dumbassery is not that the lead is female, but that it portrays women as only being heroic or notable if they steal the accomplishments of men.
We see the same thing with a female Thor, or a female James Bond. It says the only way women can achieve what men achieve is by forcing men out, even when it results in failure, to be replaced by a less qualified female character. After all, if women were every bit as heroic as men, they'd have their own original characters.
Couldn't agree more. IMO, it's done to try to prove that a woman can do anything a man can do, that's simply not true. But, I'm willing to give them the chance. I would seriously like MMA to go Gender Neutral. You fight at the weight you tip the scale. That's it.
Here we go, our main event...………. TJ Dillashaw vs Rhonda Rousey

Re: the 13th Doctor Who
The female thing is fine with me, but they picked a woman that’s not interesting to watch.
The new writer is a complete hack. Stories are nearly incoherent, there are holes everywhere.
The directing/screenwriting is beyond terrible. Shaky cameras, and hitting plot points every 10-15 seconds, lest the drooling masses “get bored”.
The last episode was about Rosa Parks. The level of justice preaching was over 9000. I think I finally have to say goodbye to this show.
And I really, really loved it while it lasted.

Well done for making it through three episodes I only managed two.
I don't particularly mind her acting but the storyline is really poor.
It is written for kids though, maybe they like it.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.
