There is a McDonald's and a Firehouse Subs nearby, so I've been well fed. The hospital provides her with food and the coffee is free. I wouldn't want to have to sleep in the chair.
When we move to pediatrics after my wife is discharged, I expect it to be less accommodating for two parents.
