Seinfeld is one of those shows where once you get clued in to Jewish behavior it becomes even funnier. Great show. Great man I guess. He did like his cars.brewster wrote: ↑Sun Mar 10, 2019 7:57 pmI wasn't a big fan of Seinfeld, but you gotta hand it to him for walking off on top. Of course it didn't hurt that he created the show and made like 1/4 Billion dollars off it. I'd say that's "fuck you" money, as in never work again and be able to say fuck you to anybody. My FU number is considerably smaller, but I don't collect classic cars.

Loves me some Seinfeld, just watched an episode right now actually. Curb Your Enthusiasm is fantastic as well and just started on The Larry Sanders Show too, great so far, and I've heard great things.

Yup we basically invented it. Thousands of years of genocide and persecution give you a good perspective. I don't know if majority cultures can be funny at all, you need to feel like shit to be funny. There's like only a handful of funny Muslims out of 1.5 billion people. I do like Aasif Mandvi, but you see, he's almost Jewish, coming from a Muslim minority in S India. That's what makes you funny. Fear.
We are only accustomed to dealing with like twenty online personas at a time so when we only have about ten people some people have to be strawmanned in order to advance our same relative go nowhere nonsense positions. -TheReal_ND

I suppose that's how British humor was born. They were persecuted for thousands of years.brewster wrote: ↑Sun Mar 10, 2019 8:21 pmYup we basically invented it. Meh, that may play a part but to my mind it is much the same when people point out how many Jewish and Catholic lawyers and judges there are. Growing up in a culture that focuses so heavily on words, the interpretation thereof and encouraging debating and making the case for those ideas, humor and setting a narrative are great tools to use for that purpose. I think comedy is a transfer of those skills. You dont need to feel like shit, liberals, SJWs especially always feel like shit and they have negative humor, but sometimes it doesn't hurt.brewster wrote: ↑Sun Mar 10, 2019 8:21 pmYup we basically invented it. Seinfeld dropped the mic and walked out...
Too bad about Bee Movie.
Otherwise it would have been perfect.

Seinfeld was at the heart of the 90s...
He and the crew basically nailed it.
The show about nothing in the decade about nothing... an ode to the extension of adolescence into adulthood and a near complete disavowal of adult responsibility... Slackers forever... Only the 90s could have spawned such a creature.
Every episode was comic mastery... towards no end goal except hilarity.
My favorite episode was the Bizarro World Episode.
