Keefe has Marincin and Ceci out on the penalty kill, so the Leafs lack of defensive depth is biting them here.
If the Loafs stars don't show up and score them out of trouble, the back end of the team can't save them

That was an important save by Hutchinson. 3 down now would have been tough to come back from.

Might be a silly question but do the goalies have different skates as they need stability rather than speed?

The guys with the huge contracts are prone to dogging it in the regular season.
If they fall out of a playoff spot, then they feel the pressure, but after they win a few in a row, they get lazy again

The Loafs supporting cast actually had a good night, Engvall goal & assist, Freddie the Goat scores a beauty
The weak defence is coming back to haunt them and will continue to, they are easily hemmed in by weak teams
Hopefully Marincin is hurt and Sandin gets called up, not that he's a savior, but just for the entertainment value
Sandin is no worse than any of these other guys defensively, he's certainly better than Marincin
