The other great thing about eating veggies is the weight vs. calories. Imagine how easy it is to eat 500 cal of starches or meat, now think of how much broccoli 500 cal would beSpeaker to Animals wrote:Kath wrote:Please define shit ton. She is saying that, in order to get the clinical doses of those chemicals from broccoli sprouts (the vegetables with the highest concentrations), you need to eat about 140g per day.
I did a little searching, and the studies she talks about used tablet form of those chemicals.
Something like this might do the trick without having to eat half a mason jar of broccoli sprouts:

I still think we need to drastically increase our vegetable and fruit intake, personally. We eat far too much grains and junk in place of what is supposed to be fruit, vegetables, and nuts. Cruciferous vegetables, for me, are the biggest problem because I don't enjoy many of them. I do eat quite a lot of spinach, arugula, and kale, however.
On the info section of the video (on YouTube), she has bookmarks to every subject in the video, so you don't really have to watch the whole thing. She discusses this under the "dosing" section. Just click the link and you are that part of the video.

That's how I keep full on this cut. Tonight I ate a big bowl of vegetables with a bowl of my chicken, carrots, onion, and peppers.
I am on Cardarine too, though, so it's not all diet.

Re: Food and drink
Just got back from cooking a medieval feast for 170 people.
Assorted ''dainties'' including marchpane, dates and nuts, boiled duck eggs, pickled vegetables etc
wild boar, pea and wild mushroom potage
smoked mackerel and caper on black bread
pease pudding
gammon, venison, duck, rabbit and boar raised pies
chicken in Malmonsey sauce (plum and Madeira)
parsnips,turnip and carrots
spiced apple frumity with caraway shortbred
parcel of fartes ( a type of mincemeat tart with ginger, nutmeg and mace )
marzipan and sugar ''deceits''
All served by wenches in woolen period costume, on wooden bowls and plates. With medieval party games and dancing between courses.
About 60 hrs work over 5 days and very little sleep.Thankfully I've got 4 weeks off before my next job to enjoy Yuletide and the solstice.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

What is MHF''s opinion on coffee grinders? I want to get one. I already cook my coffee cowboy style. Do the beans keep fresher than grounds?

I understand beans do last longer, and last almost forever if vacuum sealed.

I'm thinking of storing them in mason jars lately. I buy cans of ground coffee but they go stale in no time flat without climate control. Half my fucking vitamins and OTC meds are water logged.

The best, only (?), choice is to grind your own at home; figuring out the best use of your own grinder. Grind, then brew immediately, or if you are going camping, hunting, &c, grind and pack for the trip.TheReal_ND wrote:

Second choice, grind them at the store in small quantities in the store-provided grinding machine.
After that, iunno. Buy from some grinds from some local place that grinds the bean and then puts the grinds in a can or vacuum-sealed package? OK, I guess in a pinch.
After that, you might as well just look for the cheapest shit available, because it's all the same.
Now, all of that has nothing to do with which bean is preferable over another. All of that just has to do with brewing methods.
