You keep trying to put words in my mouth, but I'm honestly not angry about anything, I'm just shooting the breeze for the umpteenth time, go ahead and carry on with the spew festival, but it's not that interesting, after ten straight years of the same people spewing the same shit, over and over, like Capps says, if something comes up which breaks the monotony of it, we'll join in, but in the meantime, we're just passing the time with the eninently civilized and rational alternative of wholesome and enjoyable NHL hockey talk.DrYouth wrote:Damn...Smitty-48 wrote:NHL hockey talk is the eminently civilized and rational alternative to the MHFtard hypocritical self righteous perpetually enraged spew festival, who knew?
Smitty's mad.
How did Smitty get this mad?
Spill it Smitty.

He's a big stay at home defenceman from Nova Scotia, sort of a depth guy, poor man's Gudbranson?StCapps wrote:Ryan Graves for Chris Bigras, prospect for prospect. Who is this Ryan Graves kid Smitty? Never heard of him.

Sounds like clubby's team gave us the better defensemen then, Bigras has been a bust so far, only up for a game or two then back to the AHL, and rightly so.Smitty-48 wrote:He's a big stay at home defenceman from Nova Scotia, sort of a depth guy, poor man's Gudbranson?StCapps wrote:Ryan Graves for Chris Bigras, prospect for prospect. I don't see either as being NHL players, minor depth move, AHL fillers.StCapps wrote:Sounds like clubby's team gave us the better defensemen then, Bigras has been a bust so far, only up for a game or two then back to the AHL, and rightly so.Smitty-48 wrote:He's a big stay at home defenceman from Nova Scotia, sort of a depth guy, poor man's Gudbranson?StCapps wrote:Ryan Graves for Chris Bigras, prospect for prospect. For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Well I don't discount AHL fillers, I mean, one of the critical parts of the Shanaplan is to make the Marlboros into a development factory, but most of those players are not going to be NHL players, none the less, the ones who are going to be NHL players, need someone to play with in the A, so sometimes Lou makes a move which is obviously just for the Marlies, but that's all good, because that's all part of the process.StCapps wrote:A wash at worst, I'll take it.Smitty-48 wrote:I don't see either as being NHL players, minor depth move, AHL fillers.StCapps wrote:Sounds like clubby's team gave us the better defensemen then, Bigras has been a bust so far, only up for a game or two then back to the AHL, and rightly so.

That means Sakic might finally be starting to get it, I'll definitely take it. Much as I covet a Ryan McDonagh or the like, I'm glad Lou maintained the discipline of the process, because even tho the Leafs are nominally 6th in the league, that's a lot of Freddie Vezina there, in terms of shot differential, they're actually 13th, so really just in the middle of the pack, riding a hot goalie, so not actually positioned to be throwing future assets away to take a wild stab at anything right now.
