There are some pretty awesome B movies gibson has been in after he got blacklisted: Get the Gringo and Blood Father are amazing. Also check out Payback. He kills it in those three movies.
Wonder why he bothers with acting gigs like that , I mean really? He must love acting.
I don't know. Maybe he was behind on property taxes or something. Great movies though.
After the Resurrection movie he can build an entire new holywood for ironically traditionalist types or at least not sodomist.

Off topic but you looking forward to Martyr Made on Jim Jones ?

Mel Gibson , everything.
I love his character Benjamin Martin in The Patriot. I don't care what historians say about the flick. It's said to be a composite character, but I can only think of Francis Marion.

That scene where he finally decides he must join the fight because they have his son and are going to hang him is just, just...………………………. GRRRRRHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I Love It.

For TV it's pretty much any character played by Timothy Olyphant but two newer characters I'm really into are Bosch and Jon Bernthal's Punisher.

Bill the Butcher is my all-time favorite movie character
Speaking of Olyphant, Wynne Duffy from Justified deserves to be on my list. If that guy had his own show, I'd watch the shit out of it. Best villain on that show period.
Drop Wynn Duffy into any tv show or movie, and it would be better, because he would be reacting to things that are happening, and it would be awesome.

Didn't know he was doing one on him. Sounds great. I read this book on Jones years ago called the Raven by Tim Reiterman (I think). It was interesting as hell. Supposedly there is an even better book on him that came out a few years ago by Jeff Guinn called the Road to Jonestown. I loved Guinn's Manson book. The thing is, Jones was an actual commie. Before he started going really bonkers, he was doing all this commie shit in the states, and was pretty tied up in the civil rights movement. This is why I am very leery of any of these folks involved in what my dad calls: "The Civil Rights industry." If you look at the history of the movement, you see a lot of sleazy lowlifes who used their racial guilt stuff to attempt to hide the stains of their shitty personal lives. Huey Newton, MLK jr are two examples that come to mind. David Horowitz addresses a lot of this stuff, and for awhile he had the wool pulled over his eyes in regards to the dark underbelly of counter culture.

My favorite tv characters are Lieutenant Thomas Sullivan Magnum and Sergeant Major Jonathan Quayle Higgins.

My favorite movie characters are Lt. Colonel Bill Kilgore and Staff Sergeant Bob Barnes.
To be honest, Kurtz was the target, and Brando is a phenomenal actor, but I was far more interested in Kilgore as a character than Kurtz. Would have been a crazy twist if Sheen just ignored his mission and hung out with Kilgore and his crew, killing VC, surfing, and drinking beer. The helicopter attack scene is hands down the best part of that movie imo.
Every single moment is precious to me, Redux is even better, the French Colonial Plantation scene was like me finding my Cappolla Holy Grail.

But all time, all movies, Kilgore is tied with Barnes for first.

Sgt. Dude in Full Metal Jacket was great.
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman played by Marine Corps veteran R. Lee Ermey, basically playing himself.

Directed by Kurbrick, who is my favorite director.

Tho I loves me some Full Metal, it's down the list in terms of my favorite Kubrick.

In terms of Vietnam movies it is third behind Apocalypse Now Redux and Platoon.

Fun fact, the entire movie was shot on a back lot in England, the palm trees are all props.

Well, there are a few interesting Femme Fatales in film, but in general movies geared toward women and about women make a Watchtower pamphlet read like a fucking Tom Clancy novel. Boring as fuck rom coms, or some 90 pound woman beating up 4 special forces dudes who weigh 250 apiece is not terribly interesting to me. That is what is so funny about all these femi-cuck directors and nasty dykes trying to redo hollywood films. They can't even come up with good original shit for the most part. Remaking Ocean's 11? That movie was shit. Why not just write an original script with an interesting female character that is not merely designed to shame men or mock Christians? Men would probably see it. But no, we'll just take a mediocre heist movie (that itself was a remake), and try to bank on selling tickets only through controversy rather than substance. Weak shit.

There are a few woman directors I like. The lady that made Winter's Bone and Leave no Trace is great, and Katherine Bigelow is competent I guess. The movie Ravenous which is a goofy cannibal frontier Western film with Guy Pearce is also pretty good, and Antonia Bird made that one.

In spite of all its dikery and SJWism, I actually like the show Top of the Lake.
