I'm just ignorant then. No intention to offend.

This box set is worth every penny. All the best 60s Garage one hit wonders

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuggets:_ ... _1965–1968

I also like late 90s one hit wonders

At the time I didn't really like any one of those songs; I thought the grunge bands from the early 90s were better and I was worried about being cool with what I thought was more legitimate punk and rock and my newly-discovered-at-that-same-time electronic tastes, but these are the soundtrack to a very, very good couple years for me that I wish I could repeat again.

Mountain was indeed a great band, and they had a couple of gold record albums. They made exactly one appearance on the Billboard Singles Top 40. That's what I was talmbout here, anyway; my bad I didn't say so. I enjoyed some podcasts recently highlighting good one hit wonders from that category. There is a rich, rich universe of one hit wonders defined that way.

Classic early Mtv era, which was Awesome. You had every band out there mixing things up, classic rock, rockabilly, disco, tech, punk and it was a chaotic mish mash that was just great. They were all vying to get on Mtv with their videos, trying new things all the time.

I have a hard time thinking of Devo as one hit wonders,
