Re: Woodworking thread
Cool, man. I got it down to where I can fit one car in it. I could get the shop going, but we're moving in a few months, and I'll have more than enough to deal with through the summer with classes and work. We saw a property with a big shop, but someone already had an offer in. I was thinking about getting a piece of land and putting a double wide on it for a few years, but a new one costs as much as a house.C-Mag wrote:Good for you!Okeefenokee wrote:I've got a two car garage that will make a nice shop, but it's been filled to the ceiling with boxes since we moved in. I think back to when I joined the army and didn't own more than a bag of clothes... how did I get all this shit?
I told you guys last year before the election I was going to build a big beautiful shop, with a big beautiful door in it. My wife for our 25th, paid for my new shop. I'm now 34' X 74'. Finally going to have separate steel/auto and Wood Shops
Framing is down, Tyvek is on, Roofing next.
@ DeO, I have a router table pretty much like the one you posted.

I haven't done any carving for a while. Used to carve fish. Poplar is actually a very good wood for carving.

Yeah, the wood in that picture of mine is poplar. Most of the rest is pine except the axles and a few other parts, which are oak.C-Mag wrote:I haven't done any carving for a while. Used to carve fish. Poplar is actually a very good wood for carving.
What tools did you use for carving? The salmon looks great!
