Hunting Season.
Got a nice Mule Deer buck 28 1/2" wide and 20" tall. Not really a trophy, but a very big buck.
I didn't intend to shoot a deer that day. Took the 87 year old Dad out. He couldn't see the buck, and he was too big to pass up. So, I put the .270 into action. Just skinned him out tonight. Butchering tomorrow.

I had a European skull. It was a find. It's not expensive but people make it out to be. Just bury the skull and dig it up in a year or so. Soak it in bleach water. I liked the twelve point a lot.

You can boil them or send them to a guy with beetles to eat the flesh off too. European mount is a nice, economic way to go. I have this big wall on my shop, I just put all the horns on it with a marker below. Who I was with, what gun, range, and what load was used.

My dad just boils it and then puts it on the roof. Its ready to go to bleach in a month or so

This one is about 200 lbs with hide and head off. Not the biggest body deer I've shot, I had one that dressed almost 300.

That's a lot of venison! The biggest whitetail I've ever shot weighed 186, just field dressed, hide and head on. Weighed him at the processors, and he was a damn Brahma Bull by Tennessee standards.
