Re: Capitalism Cures Poverty
Here’s another logic pretzel for you:
“Taxation is theft!”
“Awesome, let’s prosecute. First arrest the culprits”
“We can’t. No police. I mean, without taxes we can’t pay for policing”
“Oh, ok. Well, we’ll get them later. Right now let’s file charges”
“Sorry, no courthouse either. You know - that whole no taxes thing”
“Are there even laws? Without taxes who is going to reside over this case? Who is going to enforce the decision of the nonexistent court? Maybe taxation isn’t theft with no state to define property rights and no judicial system to enforce it”
Lulz

Is face-to-face theft preferable to state theft?

Get back to me when you are willing to let the cops search your car for roaches and potential life threatening marijuana paraphanelia. You don't understand how bad those cops have it. Do you know what paid time off is like, especially when you are in the middle of shutting down a terrifying marijuana ring?GrumpyCatFace wrote:Is face-to-face theft preferable to state theft?

The state defines property rights (which is why they aren’t universal around the globe), the state defines crimes, the state defines taxes.
Taxation is not theft.
