Pretty sure this is just one of those traps they like to set. They never stop "testing" us, after puberty. The results don't really matter, and it's only an excuse to get pissed off in the end, but they keep doing it anyway.

I'm really not a good person to ask. I am not a typical female. Nerd is working from home today, so we can hang. That's my gift. He's running out to get lunch for me.

That's all I need, really. Every day with him is a gift. We didn't get each other Christmas or birthday presents last year, either. He did surprise me with flowers about a month ago - something cool happened for us, so it was a celebration. He does that every once in awhile, not even every year. Makes it super special.

A forced gift because of the calendar? Nah, not my thing, really. I don't get women, either, sometimes.
