Marleau is not the problem, but one Marleau does not a team make, Marleau always shows up, like clockwork, but he can't do it all himself.

OK boys, I'll be in Bridgestone tomorrow night in the suite vs. the Lightning. Big matchup.
Tell me what I should be looking for, and what kind of stuff I should be dropping with the crowd to show my NHL cred.

Why do you have to drop anything to show your NHL cred? Smashville fans have plenty of cred, just for being Smashville, you don't have to put on airs, you got a good thing going, ain't nobody in the NHL can tell you what for.Fife wrote:OK boys, I'll be in Bridgestone tomorrow night in the suite vs. the Lightning. Nice pass from Kerfoot to Yakupov, 2-2, should be 3-2 Leafs, but the refs are gay.

Yeah, Matthews, Reilly, Marleau, Brown, Hyman, and Andersen, no problems there really, but the rest of this team is as useless as tits on a slug, if I was in charge, I would send Nylander and Marner down to the Marlies right now, and not for a couple of games, for a month or two, go learn to work again, we'll see how hard you want to play after you've had a taste of the busses for awhile.StCapps wrote:Refs can't take that second goal from Matthews.
The problem with this team right now, is a sense of entitlement, like they ain't got nothing to worry about, because they are untouchable.
Why is VGK so good right now? Because they got so much hustle. Why do they have so much hustle? Because every player on that team got a wake up call all at once, when they were all effectively waived by the rest of the league.

Hey, did you see that? Apple CEO Tim Cook sitting in the stands at the ACC, with Nick Kypreos.
Rogers must have comped the seats and sent Kypreos along to answer questions, Kipper may be an insider, but not in that set, surely.

Another game phoned in by a team with absolutely no sense of urgency whatsoever, problem being, the closest team behind them is still 13 points back, pretty obvious that the players are just coasting because they're not feeling any heat, haven't played a full sixty minutes of hockey in two months.
Babs needs to engage in a little shock therapy, like I say, starting with no confidence Marner and no effort Nylander to the A for now, not that he would, but that's what I would do.
