There are only three ways to acquire wealth in a free society. The inheritance model occurs when someone gives you wealth. The economic model occurs when you trade a skill, a talent, an asset, knowledge, sweat, energy or creativity to a willing buyer. And the mafia model occurs when a guy with a gun says: “Give me your money or else.”

Which model does the government use? Why do we put up with this?

I'd love to hear how some company owning the road next to my driveway charging me $75 to get in and out of my driveway is good for America.
Do we have any Libertarians here?

Negative. Seriously, I doubt we have any big-L Libertarians here. Or really any libertarians at all.

As if Fife’s practice earns enough for him to pay taxes.
Just take your Earned Income Credit and be quiet already. When we need some really dumb ideas on how to “fix” the wealthiest nation on Earth we’ll consult the middle schoolers directly. And in the event that no 14 year olds are available, we’ll put you at the top of the list as a secondary.

I don't know of another group that worships Ron Paul and thinks business can solve every issue a country faces.

Taxation is theft
Stop signs are illegal detainment
Firemen are water-toting trespassers
Libraries are book prisons
Driver’s Licenses are state sanctioned soul simulacrums
Armies are armed extortionists
Borders are imaginary bigot lines

... and other genius musings from people who wouldn’t last five minutes outside of the very cushy first world circumstances they were born into.

Who worships Ron Paul, or any man, for that matter?

Who thinks that business can "solve" anything, much less "all our problems?"

I don't know anybody like that around here.

I know some people who think logically about economics, and who don't think the state is competent to do much of anything other than to steal and monopolize violence. But that isn't worship of any man or any idolized "problem-solver."

BTW, fuck "groups." That's a little offensive. :goteam: :drunk:

So government can't build roads. Private interests can't build roads. They just magically appear as soon as we stop taxing people. Alrighty, then.
