There's no gibs for joining the Legion, except the EU passport.
Bear in mind with French citizenship you don't have to live in France, you can live anywhere in the EU.
I would suggest Grenada in Andalusia, the South of Spain.

Once you serve the full tour in the Legion, you could enlist in the French Army after, if you wanted to go career.TheReal_ND wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 9:35 pmWell there goes my plan to become richthere are no gibs

You'd be experienced enough to pass Special Forces selection with relative ease.
It's quite cushy in the French Special Forces, it's not like the Legion, Marine-Paras are pampered.

You could parley those in the French Special Forces.
The pay in the French Special Forces is quite good, $75,000 - $100,000
French SAS. 1st Marine Infantry Parachute Regiment.

Btw i have a question foe you that i have done a little research on before last time I gor hyped to join the military. I woild PM you but maybe some other people can chime in.
I understand that they have dispensations if you are missing internal organs but have been flat out rejected before for it so what is the best method? I'm thinking of not saying shit and hoping that passing basic will give me a pass but I understand that will also get you booted at any time. Would it be better to hire a new doctor to clear you for duty? I was thinking of juet telling them if they ask anf being like "look I will prove I can pass basic and prove I am physically fit." Or would it be better to get a doctor's note? Idk I really fucked myself and I'm getting old now am I too fucked?

If you were SOF, but that's a dangerous job with no backup.TheReal_ND wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 9:53 pmPay for some contractors is as high as 1.2k a daySmitty-48 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 9:47 pmWhat the Legion gives you is world class military skills.TheReal_ND wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 9:44 pmI'm going to buy Montez's family plot in France and give it to my son and either work for contractors as a merc or drive a truck. You get paid well and pampered in the French Special Forces, nice apartment, nice car, nice girl.
But you're not out on a limb with no backup, French COS is their JSOC.

I don't really know how they handle that, that's not my area of knowledge, missing organs.TheReal_ND wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 9:53 pm

But if anybody is going to overlook it, it would be the Legion.
I would ask the Legion, email them or call them, ask if it is a disqualifier.
