That's one of his go to tactics when he's losing an argument, claim the other side never read a book, and are just too uneducated, or they would agree with him.DrYouth wrote:STA then posted this...

Re: Why Can’t America Have Beerhalls?
You're basically a resident SIFCLF, the sky is always about to fall, and the wicked will be punished therein, while Chicken Little will be vindicated for his SIFCLFing, and frankly, there's nothing to argue there, you're not conducive to alternative views, and so it becomes de facto filibuster.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Was referring to Capps, but you'll do.Smitty-48 wrote:But your narratives never change, you just keep going back to the same narratives over and over, and if anyone tries to inject something new and interesting, you reject that in favour of ritual repetition of your now very tired and overplayed stock narratives. At which point, Canadians gotta do something to pass the time,GrumpyCatFace wrote:In a shocking development, NHL hockey talk is now used whenever the Canadian Clown gets bored, or can't keep up with the narrative. Who could have seen that coming? Sad!
What narratives do I repeat, in your opinion? I do tend to repeat that we're facing an imminent financial collapse, but I don't believe that came up in this discussion.
But all the Americans here do it, this is not a forum where argument ensues, it's all filibuster all the time, which, fine, but don't brame us, roundeye, if we migrate back to hockey talk to pass the time in between.

Forensic dogs have determined...
This time it was STA looking at Smitty funny...
Smacking him in the head with a book... and telling him he should read more, to be specific...
I guess that does invoke some form of punishment.

StA loses argument, then claims you don't read any books, it's like clockwork. As soon as he goes there, you know he's got nothing.

Too bad...
This used to be a decent pub...
Now there's little more than splintered barstools.

And would either of you be so kind as to point out where I was SIFCLF'ing in this thread that I created to discuss American culture, and what may have provoked you two Canadians to spam it with nonsense, other than boredom?
Is there a lack of threads for you to read here? Not enough content?
Ever considered posting a brief summary of your book covers, or just content to thump people in the face with an obscure thing that they couldn't possibly have read, and then pretend that you made a point?

The forum was always this way, you just aren't very observant. The only thing that changed is the moderator got deranged about run of the mill stuff, and censored people she didn't like, while giving her buddies a pass.DrYouth wrote:Too bad...

I don't even think that StA lost the argument, he just ignored the point to talk about what he wanted to talk about, which, fine, but at that point, there's no point in try to make a point, the filibuster is on, so back to hockey talk in the meantime.

The way I remember it....
Smitty was one of the hardest workers to get this place up and running.
Now for some reason he's intent on burning the place down.
If it was anyone else I would be a lot more pissed off.
