Thanks! But seriously, my only goal was the achievement to survive until 1946, but they just kept throwing soldiers at me until they ran out!

Ultimate failure of the Schlieffen Plan.

We held the line! Germany did attempt to invade through Belgium, so I had an army reinforce their front... They slowly pushed us back, and I was taking too many losses, so I withdrew to the French border where I had build up some forts, and had air superiority. We held the border, they had one good offensive where they broke through behind Alsace, but I brought in 1/3 of my Italian divisions and pushed them back. It was all downhill for Hitler from there.

I would just get the base level game for $40, which I think it is worth.

Paradox continues development on these games for years, and the mod scene is gigantic.

There's 1 major DLC so far for $15. The best mods are The Great War, WW2 alt-history Kaiserreich, and Millennium Dawn modern day mod.

Maybe watch some youtube videos of the game, to get a sense of whether you'd like it or not... Watch some recent play-throughs, as the game and AI has gotten much more challenging recently.

I've played most of them. That is why I was asking about Hearts of Iron.

I got 3 for 9.00. So trying that out first.
