I would have prefered to use oak but the cost was prohibitive and I already had the pine cupboard doors which match the other side of the kitchen (bought on e-bay for £40, along with the 8 wardrobe doors it took to make the double bi-folding rear doors of the truck.)

Found this online today, a company in Florida which makes ''fake'' thatched roofs out of cedarwood shingles.

$75! That’s a steal. What a beauty. I never had my own go-cart but I grew up in Elk Grove, CA, and we had multiple Box Car Derby National champions. Before that, my friend’s dad built him a go-cart out of fiberglass. It was beautiful but it didn’t win; one like yours did.
