I have a good number of Western Canadian friends. Their pretty good folks. It's the same dynamics as the US. The rural folks are patriotic, love of country, willing to defend their way of life if needed, but would hate to be forced into that position.

I also brought up that Trump has been sweet talking Clarence Thomas and his wife, plausibly to get Thomas to retire so Trump can nominate a younger replacement.
