For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

1960's Stodderkonge king of "stoddere", in old Danish a word for vagabonds and other travelling. homeless musicians/occasional day laborers and beggars. Before 1849 and the abolition of absolute monarchy, stodder kings were the travelling vagabonds appointed by the authorities to keep all the other vagabonds in the kingdom in line. After 1849 up to today, the Danish vagabonds (called stoddere back then) elect the stodder king themselves, though they still have a priest there to "anoint" the stodder as king.
They still do. They're called landevejsriddere, or "Road Knights" today, and are (culturally) regarded as a special class of homeless. They'll sometimes beg, but usually they'll ask to pay for a day's work then move on or play some music. New "Road Knights" are baptised once a year in beer.
