It's not me, it's history, they were Vandals, the Wend, for centuries, then all of a sudden they decided to flip to calling themselves "West Slavs" in the Osterreich, which was an entirely political decision, and of course, because the Soviets ultimately conquered the region, this has been the balderdash which has been propagated into the present day.
