Late first rounder is basically just a glorified second, but I would be more concerned about disrupting the chemistry, ain't broke don't fix it, sometimes there's such a thing as too much, and not enough ice time to go around.

Like, give you an example, bringing Shattenkirk in last year, Washington made a mistake there, Shattenkirk didn't help, they didn't need him, but they felt like they needed to play him, and he ended up being an anchor. Stasny is player like that, he's lazy, I wouldn't want him around my contender if I was them.

No censorship here, Montez; just an old fashioned red-assing.

As in, just Smits realizing that he drifted into the deep end of the pool on the conversation and having to dog paddle his way back to the edge. When that happened he threw up the white flag and faded into the smoke-screen in his own way, with his little buddy helping out.

The thread ended about a dozen pages ago when the retreat signal went up. If there had been anything else to post in this thread, I or somebody would have done it.

The truth is that the argument was a specific to general fallacy, we were discussing generalities, then an assertion was made wherein a tiny portion of something was expanded to mean the whole of it, and I pointed that out, and the fallacy was not conceded, so it wasn't good faith anymore, so I just wandered off to talk hockey with Capps.
