Here's a few in a similar vein you might like, Fife (if you don't already know them):
"Hey varmints, don't mess with a guy that's riding a buffalo"

Re: What Are You Listening To?
Van Zandts in general have had it rough.
How about ... Seven Spanish Angels, The Highwaymen, Phaedra, and I Sang Dixie?
You got those covered?
My country and bluegrass bench is probably the most shallow of the major genres. I listen to all the BIGS, like Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams and Garth Brooks.
... I’d throw Kenny Rodgers in there but I don’t know if he counts as country in Tennessee

Kenny Rogers and the First Edition are in the Pantheon; as a solo, meh.DBTrek wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 4:38 pmVan Zandts in general have had it rough.

Dwight Yoakam has been important to me for a long, long time.
I finally got to watch Sling Blade with my daughter a couple of weekends ago. There is so much to share with her now that she's old enough!
