Tbh Houstonians consider anything over a 45 minute drive terrible. We have the best highways in the world but they still get jammed up. Katy freeway has 18 lanes and it becomes brake light riding during rush hour. Us plebs that have to travel across town set our work hours early and set out early. State of the art highways tbf. Avoid 290 like the fucking plague though.

Hey. Hey fife. Can you please fuck off? We all actually know how Tennessee rolls you massive faggot. You don't trim your trees for shit. They fall over from their own weight in a strong wind and explode breakers. When the company shows up they leave exposed wires everywhere. You are more lazy than anyone on the planet. Please stay your fucking Houston commentary you blood sucker.

Yeah, my flight home was at a fucked time like 7 or something, and we were done at like 4pm on the 2nd day so I went out to head for the airport and all the guys were like "are you sure you want to drive right now? Traffic is going to be awful"TheReal_ND wrote:Tbh Houstonians consider anything over a 45 minute drive terrible. We have the best highways in the world but they still get jammed up. It was less than an hour to the airport, that was nothing for me.
I can't believe how awesome the highways are all over Texas.
Also, early in early out is the only way to work. I like to have my evenings to myself

We are kind of spoiled because our highways are built a decade in advance planned for growth. I lived in LA and yeah that's a whole nother ball game. Still, it's easy to lose three to four hours a day on the highway being a prole. I've been there after working 12 hours a day. I'm quite done with it.

How close to an airport though, because I'd have to travel at that point

If you want to live in a somewhat larger labor market, check out Chattanooga home prices.

You'd have to drive to Asheville, which is about 45 minutes to an hour.California wrote:Wow.Speaker to Animals wrote:California wrote:Ugh why do I look at Texas real estate prices?

Not much going on in Maggie Valley, though. It's a great place if you work from home.

Stings, don't it? You know you have to leave Cali anyway. Just do it already. Does Fox have an office in Austin? I'd avoid Houston.California wrote:Ugh why do I look at Texas real estate prices?
We just bought a house in Belton to commute to Austin and Fort Hood.
But you coming from Cali could probably swing a place in Georgetown.
