With sad countenance and downcast eyes, Aeneas wends his way, quitting the cavern, and ponders in his mind the dark issues.

There is a time for good men to do bad things.
For fuck sake, 1984 is NOT an instruction manual!

I really can't just walk away from this but (and I have to say this):Hwen Hoshino wrote:It's gonna age bad.Penner wrote:In my opinion, I did like Episode VII and I thought that it kind of "redeemed" Star Wars for a whole new generation.Hwen Hoshino wrote: That Disney bs is there no matter what words you use.
It probably will not age as bad as you may think. I mean they used practical effects and yeah the story does seem pretty basic, but with some interesting stuff within it that is there (obviously) to set up the other films. But, it does have a beginning, a middle, and an end. Sure not all of the characters lived up to their pre-movie hype (i.e. Captain Phasma turned out to just suck) but it was the film that (in my opinion) made people start loving Star Wars again- after the terrible prequels. IMO, it has a place in the hearts of Star Wars fans and that will unsure that it will live on.

You have your speculation but this was the film that people have already fallen in love with it, even though you may have a problem with it. Personally, I don't but I do know that it hit the same beats as ANH, but then again, I feel that the Prequels were so bad that they had to do something safe like this if they want to continue making Star Wars.Hwen Hoshino wrote:I have more faith in my speculation.Penner wrote:The only real way we would know is several decades down the road.Hwen Hoshino wrote: You just called it mouthwash that has basic story beats. You think it does not make a profit if it's not in the OT era?Penner wrote:You have your speculation but this was the film that people have already fallen in love with it, even though you may have a problem with it.
