Ridiculous that they didn't expose him, no chance VGK was going to take him, they were going to take Fleury all along. Ah well, your loss is the Leafs gain, Calvin Pickard; best player on the Marlboros already.
The Avs are incompetent enough to make it so.
Lovin' Pickard so far, the Marlies played no defense in front of him in Providence, outshot 2 to 1, he completely stole that game, even the game he lost, the Marlies were terrible in their own zone, just throwing Pickard to the wolves, but he still looked great, he was their best player by far, in all the games he played this week.

Make it so, Joe  Ever since the Worlds last spring, I've coveted Pickard as our ace in the hole backup, Pickard for Lindberg and a 6th, such a deal.

Tell you what, If Freddie Toskala falters? Goes down in a playoff series? I have confidence in Pickard to hold the line, he ain't big, but he's a battler, and he's more athletic than Andersen, and he's got a better glove hand. When he came in with the Avs as a rookie, he was lights out, he's still got it in him, and after seeing him in backstopping Team Canada in the big games at the Worlds; "WTF I love Pickard naow",

Biggest concern going into this season; "what if Freddie goes down?!" But with Pickard, not even worried about it, he literally lets me sleep at night, muh Ace in the hole.

VGK! Overtime game winner! You suck, Buffalo, ahahahahahahaha! Another good game from the Golden Kuh-niggets.

Malcom Subban tho, he's like Malcolm Toskala, surrenders three goals in three minutes, glad they didn't, but should have stuck with Pickard.

Loafs be loafin' again, play one period, rack up a huge lead, take the next period completely off, hand it all back.

Fucking Will Butcher is killing it in New Jersey? The hits just keep on coming, The Avs can't even sign dope young Defensemen that we draft, fucking incompetent faggots, flushing a left handed PP QB down the drain and right into the Devils lap.

Speaking of defensive found wallets, in addition to Borgman and Rosen, Ron Hainsey is working out. I like Matt Hunwick, but with Hunwick it was a case of Reils having to cover for him, it wasn't a boost having another puck mover like Hunny to be his backup, Hainsey is a much better fit, poor man's Methot, but not even that poor, he's stabilizing that top pairing by just being a worker bee and keeping it simple, allowing Mo to do what he does best. I thought he'd be useful, but I was skeptical about top pairing just like everybody else was, but the method to Bab's madness is looking crazy like a fox now, same as Marleau, he might be old, but he's smart, and he can still skate at an elite level, so it works.

Another bonus has been Eric Fehr, they took him as a salary dump, but he's actually been earning his pay, poor man's Brian Boyle basically, and again, not even that poor, because he's a better skater than Boyle, he's another worker bee who Bab's has made effective use of.

Avs up 1-0 against the Blues, 13 straight shots to close out the period.
edit: 1-1, early in the 2nd, Stastny with a snipe for 600th career point

Kailer Yamamoto, that's turning out to be a good pick, he's outplaying McDavid right now, which, what's up with McDavid? He's sucking right now.
