Having extra picks always helps though, especially when rebuilding. Connor Brown may not be an example of that wisdom holding true, but it remains true nonetheless. The more lottery tickets, the better chances of hitting a winner. Avs need more picks, yet never move to load up on them.

Yeah, like I said, I think it's the owners, they won't let go and just let creative destruction happen.

Fucking Kroenke, go back to meddling with other Denver area teams you own, and keep your hands off my hockey team. Not that you'll listen to me, but god I wish he would.

Leaf fans owe it all to Tim Leiweke, he's the one who hired Shanahan and authorized the Shanaplan, now Lieweke is gone, but his legacy lives on, in Auston Matthews.

Leiweke told Leafs fans, the media and ownership what was wrong with the organization, and they ran him out of town for it. Leiweke knew what was up, a lot of credit given to others is actually his.

Not me tho, bit of a travelling huckster that Leiweke, but he did right by the Leafs, and now Shanahan is a 6ix God; bless you, Tim Leiweke.

What do you think it would cost the Avs to pry Thomas Chabot off of the Sens? Chabot and Makar would make one hell of a future top D pairing on the PP.

Chabot is untouchable, 'specially with Methot gone now.

Fucking Phaneuf. I'm going to pretend it's all his fault, even though I wouldn't trade Chabot even if they still had Methot, in their position. I just feel like blaming Dion though.

Young skating elite puck moving D is the hottest commodity in the league, word is that NJ was even considering trading down and taking Makar instead of Hischer.
