No, you get the 59th pick and a third rounder, for the 32nd pick.StCapps wrote:Another second rounder? Got something more creative in mind? A prospect you wouldn't mind dumping to move up in the second?

What about goldberg and Emilio Estevez? Charlie became a liability for the team on and off the ice, especially when he gave that coach a hard time who was just trying to take care of his parapalegic daughter. Though it wasn't shown on screen, Charlie and Emilio took that broad into the handicap bathroom and taxed that ass until the rink closed. Espn should do a 30 for 30 on that.

Oh that's what I was saying at first, misread your response. Make sure to get the third rounder, don't settle for a fourth, got you now, even if it took me a second to get there. Not sure if it's cool with Lou, Sheriff Shanny, and Uncle Joe, like you said, but I'm down to make that deal.Smitty-48 wrote:No, you get the 59th pick and a third rounder, for the 32nd pick.

Leafs don't have a third rounder this year anyways, I'm basically reduced to that Petruzzelli drops to 59th the same way Liljegren dropped to 17th.StCapps wrote:Oh that's what I was saying at first, misread your response. It's possible, the hockey gods seem to be shinning upon you, but even they may not like you that much, I'd be pretty damn surprised to not see another goalie go fairly early in the second and Petruzelli, DiPietro and Pekka-Luokowhoever will probably not make it out of the second either, but I could see Petruzelli maybe falling to the early third round. Trading up is only realistic hope at nabbing him.Smitty-48 wrote:Leafs don't have a third rounder this year anyways, I'm basically reduced to that Petrezzulli drops to 59th the same way Liljegren dropped to 17th.StCapps wrote:Oh that's what I was saying at first, misread your response. I'd take a third rounder next year, or the year after too, not sure if Sakic would be down, but what the fuck do I care what year the third rounder is?

Yeah, I'd do it, but it goes against the Shanaplan, they like to have more picks not less, they approach it like every pick is another lottery ticket and you never know which one will pay off.

Yeah, and that's probably the deal breaker. Also I doubt they are as high on Petruzelli as we are, so there's that as well. If Petruzelli is still on the board in the third round, they might try to move up though, doubt they'd move up into the second to take him, if they are even considering moving up to take anyone on the draft board, instead of trading down for more picks, which is probably their preference.Smitty-48 wrote:Yeah, I'd do it, but it goes against the Shanaplan, they like to have more picks not less, they approach it like every pick is another lottery ticket and you never know which one will pay off.

Case in point; Connor Brown, 6th round pick, 20 goal rookie.

Yeah. I wish the Avs would trade down and pile up picks and steal the Shanaplan, but alas they rarely have more than an extra pick a year, if that. It's frustrating, we need to acquire more picks and rebuild, yet we keep putting it off because of the delusion in our front office that we can "win now" because we had one good regular season in the last seven years.Smitty-48 wrote:Case in point; Connor Brown, 6th round pick, 20 goal rookie.

Connor Brown is one who just fell in our lap, had one off year, dropped like a stone to 156th, the next year, led the OHL in scoring; 45G-83A-128P
This is why I'm bullish on Liljegren, one off year, does not a career make, look at the trajectory as a whole.
