I said Flashville was where you should be dangling Duchene, but don't settle for less than Dante Fabbro.

That goes without saying, no way Joe Sakic who has been asking for too much as it is, will settle for any less. Hence why he said he'll be happy to have Duchene back next year before turning around and pushing hard for a deal, lulz.Smitty-48 wrote:I said Flashville was where you should be dangling Duchene, but don't settle for less than Dante Fabbro.

Other than Fabbro and now Tolvanen, there's nothing in their pipeline I would even want, might as well throw something else in, Joe, and ask for both, if Crashville think's they're in the window, strip them of their two best prospects, make them take Carl Sodeberg away.

I'd actually take that deal if I was Poile, I get my second line center, I get my James Neal replacement, yeah; $6 million for 18 goals, but hopefully he bounces back with a change of scenery, and I take it on the chin 1st rounder for Sodeberg, but hey, if the window is open, and maybe he can bounce back too and be a usefull piece in my bottom six.
And for the Avs, rebuild jumpstarted, Fabbro, Makar, Tolvanen, and two 1st rounders next year already, with MacKinnon, Rantanen, Jost, the future is looking bright.

Can you email both GMs for me? God I hope they see the same thing.Smitty-48 wrote:I'd actually take that deal if I was Poile, I get my second line center, I get my James Neal replacement, yeah; $6 million for 18 goals, but hopefully he bounces back with a change of scenery, and I take it on the chin 1st rounder for Sodeberg, but hey, if the window is open, and maybe he can bounce back too and be a usefull piece in my bottom six.

Turns out Hanafin for Duchene was fake news too by the way, Ron Francis thinks he's untouchable for anything but a king's ransom, as he should.

Yeah, I already knew that was fake news, but Fabbro is in college, Preds think they are close, so that's more realistic, and Fabbro is like an RHD version of Hampus Lindholm, so not as close as a Hanafin, but when he arrives he's going to be good.
Then, as you say, Tolvanen is a steal at 30th, the Finnish Tarasenko, but Landeskog is what the Preds need right now, to replace Neal, he's not as offensive, but like you always point out, a Swede who plays like a Canadian power forward, playoff ready right now, he'd be a horse, if the Preds think they're going deep again.
Gonna take another 1st next year plus take Sodeberg, but Sodeberg is also a playoff ready veteran, and you're getting both Duchene and Landeskog.
I think that's fair for both parties.
