Dregger speculates that Marner's contract is not going to be a discount.

So players are definitely getting tossed overboard.

I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing.

Johnsson for Ritchie.

Kapanen for Pesce.

Kadri for Dobson.
Marner would be a dummy to take a discount, especially considering taxes, I don't blame him. Get dat Rantanen money, Mitchy. If Rantanen settles for a discount, I'd be shocked.

Could be a good thing, if the Leafs handle it right, as you say.
Pesce is looking solid in the playoffs for the Canes.

Could have traded Kapaen for him.

Obviously Kappy is good, but he's gonna cost Pesce money to re-sign, better to shift that to the defense.

They need a goon. But one who can play in the top six. Nick Ritchie. The Ducks need more speed, find a fit.

Kadri deserves to be gone, he's earned his ticket out of town. He's a Two Phones favorite.

Ship him to the Island for one of their 'A' prospects on an ELC.

I doubt Dubas will break up the Big Four in their first year together. So it's the middle classes who will get moved.

Connor Brown can go too.

This is why Moore, Petan and Bracco are key prospects, internal replacements on the cheap.

People who still care about the World Cup are rejoicing at all the Swedes now free to join the national squad.
A lot of Team Canada guys are taking a pass. Nobody wants to go to Slovakia.

Could be a weak Team Canada this year.

I think Johnsson and Nylander should play with Backstrom.

Leafs media speculating that they will blow up the core.

I suspect they will give both Kadri and Nylander another year.

Unless somebody offers them a serious good trade, I think they will hold on to them rather than sell low.

But that would mean that all of Kapanen, Johnsson and Brown would prolly be going.

Swap them out for D and/or size up front.

I covet Nick Ritchie from Anaheim to play with Matthews and Nylander.

Brett Pesce from Carolina to replace Hainsey.

Petan replaces Ennis.

Moore replaces Johnsson

Bracco replaces Kapanen.

Rosen replaces Gardiner.

Kapanen and Johnsson are the trade bait. Johnsson plus for Ritchie, Kapanen straight up for Pesce.

Eagles facing elimination, down 2-1 in their series. Figured they'd get bounced in the first round anyway, but if the Condor's choke, stranger things have happened.

Jackets look rusty, but Bobrovsky looks sharp. Bruins all over them early.

There is literally nobody standing in the Bruins way, if they don't win the cup, that's a massive choke.

All the teams who would have been a favorite to beat them lost in the first round, it's true.
