Yeah, right now I'm just having fun mining and pirate hunting... it's lucrative when the enemy comes to you.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Sun Sep 02, 2018 7:00 amIn survival mode, you really need to manage your sodium and oxygen resources. The Conservative wrote: ↑Sun Sep 02, 2018 6:59 amI've noticed... lol.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Sun Sep 02, 2018 6:43 amAdvice: start in survival mode. The regular mode is going to be too easy.
I got over 10 pirate kills in a few hours after leaving the 2nd planet.
Even then, it gets somewhat straight-forward to avoid death. I think permadeath is the real game, personally. I plan to play through the rest of the campaigns and get to the center of the galaxy in survival mode. Then I will just start a permadeath game and head straight for the center instead of the campaigns.
Just focus initially on blueprints so you can generate a lot of credits. Then purchase an S-class explorer ship at a red star station. Upgrade that thing to be able to jump as far as possible, and try to reduce the number of jumps to the double digits.

You will want to spend some time raiding manufacturing facilities to get blueprints. Blueprints stack to male more complex items that pay millions of credits at a galactic trade station.
When you start doing that, go to smaller planets and moons, as the number of facilities seems somewhat fixed, and the smaller the world the closer they are.

Oh I do that all the time. I got blueprints for things I don’t even have the ability to make yet.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Sun Sep 02, 2018 7:25 amYou will want to spend some time raiding manufacturing facilities to get blueprints. A lot of late nights and obsessive behavior. It's a great game.TheReal_ND wrote: ↑Sat Sep 08, 2018 5:09 pmJust downloaded Europa universalis IV. What am I in for?
Careful with the DLC - they have dozens of little add-ons that do nothing. The expansion packs aren't really necessary either, they include the key features for free. Once you get really into it, you'll want to purchase the cheap older ones, but don't pay more than $5 or so.

I got the manilla package and it's too much autism for me rn. I downloaded civ5 again. I got pissed because I couldn't declare war. Nobody got time for this.
