Re: What Are You Listening To?
My mother died on 2/19/10. It changed everything, immediately. No details.
Moonlight Senata was just used as the song for a woman's short skate program. My mom's death anniversary brought up memories.
Dad was a musician. He played: organ, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, piano, accordion. As I got older, I joined him in duets with my clarinet, later flute and also piccolo.
He played either the piano or the organ for my mother almost every single night of their marriage. Moonlight Sonata was his favorite, and it made me so happy when I was deemed good enough to join him and add value to the song he played for mom.
Note - the other song was Mary in the Morning, but only the instrumental version. I got really good on that song with my flute. Mom never was sure if she preferred him playing Mary in the Morning, her favorite; or Moonlight Sonata, his favorite. They had a great marriage. Their problems were related to mental health issues. They were solid, despite, though.
Miss you, mom. Miss you, dad.

That was my favorite song to play on the piano in high school.

Henry the VIII was almost as good at writing a tune as he was at slamming chicks.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.
