Range day. One thing about the desert I like. Much less shitty winters.

Not that day. Last time we went shooting, we were out in the desert, and we were shooting bottles and such. I had a good laugh when a detergent bottle I hit shot up into the air like a rocket. This time we were at the Ft. Bliss rod and gun club, so we had targets and such. Those jugs were for hydration. I also keep a case of water in all my vehicles.C-Mag wrote:Cool Stuff Okee.

Weapons fired:
- .223 Remington bolt action
.308 Winchester bolt action
12 gauge Remington pump
45 1911
9mm Sig p320
But the Sig p320?

1911 has always been very comfortable for me, but they all take training until you break over that threshold. I grew up with a 1911 as my first semi auto. Have not fired a Sig 320. But it's on my list. In general 9mm are just so easy to put rounds on target. The 45 takes more training, at least for me.

I think it's the double action heavy trigger. Real easy to get on target and hold it there. The 1911 is a hair trigger comparatively.C-Mag wrote:1911 has always been very comfortable for me, but they all take training until you break over that threshold. I haven't shot in years now.
It sucks coming from a family where shooting and hunting was a weekly activity, but that's the difference between living in Northern CA compared to Southern CA

I suck with a 9mm. I'm accurate with a revolver, but I've never learned how to compensate for the slide action on a semi-auto pistol. I don't practice nearly enough, and I don't own a handgun. Only my shotgun at the moment.Okeefenokee wrote:I think it's the double action heavy trigger. Real easy to get on target and hold it there.
