We have 4 power monopolies here in State. All of Northern CA is PG&E (Pacific Gas & Electric), LA and Orange County have a separate power and gas monopoly, Southern California Edison and SoCal Gas, and San Diego has SDG&E.
PG&E is independent, SDG&E and SoCal Gas are owned by Sempra, and Edison is owned by Edison.
