Women are the predominant perpetrators of domestic violence, especially when you consider child abuse. Their predominant method of attack is to use objects as weapons.

Honestly, I don't have any sympathy either. Not any more than I would for a smaller man who starts shit with a larger man (or somebody who has been practicing martial arts for the past fifteen years) and gets his ass beat.

If it's the other way around, and some dude is just laying into a woman without cause, then that's a hell of a different story.


The moral of the story is: don't attack people. Everybody has the right to not be attacked and nobody has the right to never be struck in self-defense just because they have a vagina.

It's always going to be one of those subjective things.

If I have a 14 y/o autistic son and he takes a swing at me you guys aren't going to think I'm a hero if I drill him in the face and send him to the pavement. Even *if* he started it. You're going to be like "Fuck dude, you hit that kid like that because he took a swipe at you!?!"
And I'd be the asshole, because clearly I could've stopped the kid's aggression with less force than that, right?

On the other hand, some other 40-something male takes a swipe at me and it plays out the same, most of us would agree that the guy had it coming. "Don't start none, won't be none", etc.

Every altercation is going to have multiple factors, and every individual is going to interpret those factors differently.
